Yeah, my right shoulder was sore for a couple days, but at least my back was fine.

Pieminister Pies!
I'm not usually a big pie fan, but their Moo and Blue pie caught my eye in the supermarket just before Christmas. I defrosted and ate it today. OMG. It was the best pie EVER. I was worried the pastry would be dry, but in fact I have never eaten better pastry in my life. And it was charmingly handmade - it was a little wonky, as if it was shrugging a pie shoulder at me to say, "What can you do, eh?" Oh, Moo and Blue was a steak and stilton pie. Perfectly balanced flavours. I will definitely have another one, and see if the other one in the range appeals to Mum. You see Dad has a pie every week, so I figured if we got one for the same night we could have Pie Night! Mum's not really into Stilton, and I honestly can't remember what the other flavour in Sainsbury's was. An example of their range: Quote:
I liked the fact that they claim one of the ingredients to be "lovely pastry" for each pie. And they are right to do so! Am off to send them an email to tell them so right now.

Can I suggest that if you ever see Higgity (or Higgedy, can't recall which) pies you give them a go? They are deelish! I also am not a big pie fan (strangely, given I hail from the land of pies) but Higgedy pies are great.

There were Higgedy pies next to them actually.
I bought the Pieminister one because it was on special offer - which means they taste better I will bear your recommendation in mind, but I am in the throes of new-found pie-love, so it may not be any time soon.

Big discounts on textbooks! I bought two vegetarian cookbooks for $14.40 both shipped. I use borders and amazon too though. It just depends. |

I can enthusiastically endorse the hooded MA-1 flight jacket by Alpha. Light but very warm. Wears like iron too. I've had mine three years now and it still looks new.
You can get it at your local Army/Navy store or online.

Aidells Chicken and apple sausage!
Tonight I sliced them then sauteed them in butter along with sliced apples and onions, caramelized with a touch of brown sugar and served over rice. The package has other great recipe ideas other than that one but I found it to be a great little sausage...a great little dish. |

ghirardelli brownies. We made a batch of these from mix today, and they are easily the best brownies I've ever had. Better than any other mix or homemade brownie. Simply amazing.
