Home from the hospital! Surgery went well. Looking forward to recovering in the comfort of my own home without nurses poking and prodding at me.

My son had a wrestling meet today. He won all three matches, one with a pin! He had to wrestle a *girl* (holy shit, his dad freaked out about that!) and she was 5 pounds heavier than he is, which makes a big difference in wrestling, 'cause he's a little squirt (10 years old, 64 lbs.)...but he still won. 1st place! Woohoo!

Wrestling isn't really a sport anyone gets into over here. At least, not that I've ever heard of. I can't imagine my boys doing it.
Good for your son though Juni. He must be pleased with himself?

Glad you're back, Choco. Now rest and recuperate. I remember that a heating pad helped some of the discomfort, back when I had mine out.

I am DONE with my research paper!
Well, at least I'm done with the draft which is due on Wed. And that is all I need, 1200+ words with citations. Should be interesting; this prof likes to give TONS of feedback. I worked my ass off on this! And yet, the lard ass remains. (sigh) |

We have 2 older Cavalier King Charles spaniels that are semi-professional sleepoholics. My sister gave me this toy sleeping Cav and it sleeps on the floor in the tv room. A contractor was in today and he asked about the other 2 dogs, then asked how about the puppy. I thought he was asking about the cat, but nope - he thought the toy was real. I'm not laughing at him, I'm laughing because I am constantly checking to see if the toy is still 'breathing', and I feel like somebody else got suckered into my fantasy world. We're both busted!

We saw a red fox run through our back yard. We have also seen numerous bird species and a small herd of white-tails.
For such a suburban area, there's a lot of great wildlife. But we need to get our back yard fenced in this spring, or the damn deer will eat all the lovely screening we've got from our neighbors!
