Snow piles up along that wall, which was wood to the ground due to a print reading error by my concrete guy (cousin). Now we have a rot proof "splash zone."
Paintbrush per previous "What did you buy?" response.

ah, I get it. don't usually think about snow around here.
I also bought a suet cake and put it out for birds this morning. . . only to realize that it's not for warm weather and will probably melt and drip all down the tree. duh. Oh well, maybe the birds will eat it all up before it does that--they're certainly going to town on it now.

You stained without getting any on the white window and door frames - that's pretty good.
Is that the solar collector/heater on the left? |

Can we all come live at Griftopia? Something about it always seems so peaceful.

Nothing again so far.
But I may require beer later. Also have three books in my Amazon UK cart -may or may not happen today. And I need to order a swim team tank top and one or two team hoodies -that has a good chance of happening this evening

How is the solar collector thing working out? One of my neighbors was considering getting one.

It is difficult to quantify. Nothing too dramatic in terms of the whole house since the passive solar face already does a lot for us on sunny days but it does take the edge off the basement room it is plumbed to. On a bright sunny day it will lift that small insulated room maybe 20 degrees F. When the ceiling and finish work is done it'll be interesting to see how it holds heat. I guess an insulated house with poor solar gain or tightly insulated workshop in an unheated building would be good applications. Since it draws from the floor it is heating the coldest air in the space, so that is pretty helpful. I wouldn't over sell it but it is a great feeling when you hear the blower come on knowing the sun is the only input post manufacture.
