The job goes well! Right now I'm teaching 11th grade honors English and 10th grade regular English. All in all, I have about 150 students, and keeping up with them every day is a handful. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Thankfully, 99% of them are nice kids and I have to say everything's going very smoothly.
Current concern with regards to teaching, asides from the usual budget cuts, is Florida's peabrained senate bill going through the works that will essentially take away job security and mangle reasonable pay. Fun stuff, but mostly I am focused on putting one foot in front of the other for the next nine weeks. |

I think you are amazing. I can't imagine the excitement of your first year of teaching. It sounds like you are loving it, but I bet it isn't easy. You've obviously known for a long time that this is what you want to do and now you're doing it! Good for you! As most of us know, we remember our teachers, and some of them we remember as being awesome.
Here's to a long and happy career for you.

That would probably be out of proportion... Smooth M never struck me as a chewable asshole at all. Even I did not squabble with him that I remember, and everybody knows I'm willing to take up the cudgels.

Hello limey. Case sent me a note a few days ago (or maybe it was last year?), so I thought I'd drop in. I hope everyone's been fine.
I've been missing all you Cellarites. I looked around and noticed some name changes. I couldn't even remember how to operate the Cellar. I'm sorry for the long absence. |

Last year, I think.
It's been missing something without you. Glad to know you're OK.
