An ellipsis.

What do I win?

eta:

Now it is a question containing an ellipsis. You are elusive, Flint.

Flint and everyone on this board,
I have noticed just recently that I have become a stuffy, old, not fun, and judgemental person since not taking any drug, at all, aside from antibiotics, in the past 6 years. I would say that my general mental condition has back-slid because of my lack of psychedelics. Not only that, it is also effecting my general sauciness, and sexual appeal. This will not change in the forseeable future, and I am sorry for any inconvience that this has, and will, cause.

Thank you for your patience,
Cicero

Actually Cicero, that was caused by you passing 1,000 posts.
Maybe you should ?
In our early 20s a friend and I agreed to smoke at least twice per year, aiming at our respective birthdays, to prevent this sort of thing.
I've missed recently due to being in Japan but I did get some very mild and none too great Hawaiian Rosewood on my last birthday. Just keeping my hand in. I'll catch up when I get back home.

Edit: a few years back said friend tried to join the police force. He was knocked back because of high blood pressure, which was news to him.

Adelaide, South Australia.

Penalty for personal use possession is an on the spot fine, payable at the post office, no record.
I've only once known of anyone being done for this - you need to be flaunting it in public because the police have better things to do than chase the huge number of personal users.

You might also try Amsterdam. Never been there but legends abound.

Why do they shoot you for walking out of a bar?

Amsterdam has long been my dream vacation. In my defense, I really want to see the Van Gogh museum.

They don't really shoot you as you walk out of a bar, but we do see the lines regarding "innocent until proven guilty" and "just cause" and "search warrants" and the like get moved ever so slightly, little by little, in the name of the greater good. One way, specifically, is "random" road stops...where they block off a road and stop say, every third car, for a random check. It's becoming common, but this town was a pioneer in this area. Flying just under the radar of constitutional rights.

There was a bar in town (a rather scary place that I don't frequent but that's not the point) which was recently closed by the cops after years of tactics designed to scare or intimidate the owner out of there. A bank wants the building so they can tear it down for a parking lot. Without getting into too many details, there were a lot of shady dealings going on with town bigwigs. In the end, you really can't fight city hall.

Yeah, here you just get stopped. Every car....In random locations all over the state. All of a sudden there are bright lights everywhere, in the middle of nowhere, and you are at a checkpoint party! Hopefully you didn't do anything at all, or you are just kind of screwed.

Random checkpoints....great. But here is a funny article about it:

This dwi enforcement officer gets taste of own medicine. OOpsy. Tipsy...

Your poll is broken. It won't let me choose all four options.

What's with me is Other: to wit, occasional indignation.

The hippie section of Amsterdam looks like it really sucks... tons of dullard hippie-haired, field-jacketed relics of the very early Seventies -- in the Eighties. Mindlessly hostile to American military, to the point of giving the finger to passing buses.

Necessary they ain't.

Suckers, the bunch. And no innovations, nor art, nor beauty come from the hippie districts.

P.S.: I neither know nor care if what's with LJ is ignorance or apathy... :p
