The Battle of Britain (133 minutes of stiff upper lip)
(on a similar vein but not quite as awesome Angels One Five)

Where Eagles Dare (theres even an American in it) "Broadsword to Danny boy...". Put me off cable cars for life.

The Battle for the River Platte, British WWII naval battle, been a long time but it came to mind easily so must have made an impression.

I watched Flyboys tonight. It was better than advertised. Real plane stunts would have been cool but no stunt men were splattered in the making of this film.
