Valkyrie

Tester-San and I went to see this this afternoon.

Despite the early reviews, it turned out to be a very good movie.

There were aspects of the assassination attempt of which I was unaware, so despite knowing how the story ends, it was still interesting to watch.

And Tom Cruise's acting was just fine.

in the movie poster he looked a bit like Kyle McLachlin.

I just wish they had chosen almost anyone else.

Tester-San was saying that he thought Val Kilmer would have been a good choice.

I bet Val could carry off the whole German upper class military thing.

Yeah, I am going to wait for the remake. Val Kilmer would be good, or that other guy who was in the movie about that place...

Thumbs up

I liked the movie and learned a couple things as well.
For one thing, I didn't know that there were 15 attempts made to assassinate Hitler.

Oh yea, Val could also have done a good job with the role.

I heard the real guy the movie was about was hung with piano wire.

Being hung = bad

Being choked with a piano wire = worse

Being hung with a piano wire = worst

They did it from behind in a car in the Godfather too.
In fact, a windshield was lost as well.
