What did you buy today?
a time-wasting curiosity thread! ta da!
So, weekends are my days to get household shopping done. today I bought: --a bright blue plastic adirondack chair. They didn't have the ottomans for it, so I also bought --a tiny kids bright blue plastic adirondack chair. to put my feet on. --rubber interlocking padding for my concrete patio when I work out --Three Cups of Tea Book for my granddaughter's birthday, 'cause B&N didn't have the Howard zinn book I wanted --cat food, hair color, liquid plumber. How fun!

I bought a cake mix and frosting for my stepdaughter (couldn't eat the cake myself, but I had several forkfuls of frosting straight out of the container,) plus I happened to pick up paper towels and napkins while I was there. They didn't have the other things I wanted.

Keryx got a bunch of books at yard sales, and I got a frisbee. And I hooked up with an old acquaintance today.
And we got a bunch of fruit and garlic stuffed olives, and garlic cheese bread.

Good for her fargon! Books anyway they come are great.
@ cloud. I bought cat food and liquid plumber too! I discovered Science Diet. They are on the 5th bag of it and they are doing great. Slimming down and getting all healthy and they should. That stuff is expensive but worth every penny. Well maybe not too expensive considering the price of the fattening hair falling out over the counter grocery store products. I didn't buy anything today but yesterday I bought five $1 dollar notebooks a pack of pens. Last weekend I found a steal chair for $29.99. I am not in the position to buy an anti-gravity chair but it looked like a good knockoff and at $40 percent off. Patience pays off. lol sometimes. I had been waiting to find a chair on sale for months. Last edited by skysidhe; 06-19-2010 at 04:24 PM. |

@ skysidhe -- I just dumped one like it in the trash and bought the new chair to replace). After a year (or two--can't remember); the metal parts were broken, the fabric discolored, and the webbing rotted. I just can't keep anything good out there; the conditions are too harsh!

I bought it at Ace hardware. I think they are still on sale and at that price everyone can have one. lol I don't like plastic too much. I get all obsessional about the dirt that attracts to it. I would be cleaning it all the time and that would annoy me. I think I can handle the rust a little better. I'll just call it a patina. I am glad you found some comfy chairs though. I know that is what is mostly out there these days. I did see some nice tomato colored ones. I like those but white? no way. |

I'm painting on my house above where I've been fiddling with a stone splash zone/entrance.
