Given our personality differences, perhaps you should consider Zane. it's the popular name I hate most right now....

awesome. Damn, I wish We'd thought of that for Thor. He uses "Rock Rex" as his pen name at school sometimes.

Back to the Persian names. How about Xerxes. Spell it backwards and he is Sexrex. That should pull chicks.

I'm 23 weeks today. Almost through my second trimester now.

I had an antenatal visit yesterday and they offered me a social worker. Apparently they're concerned because I haven't put on any weight at all (in fact i've lost a couple of kg's) during my second trimester. This was after I told them about Dazza being away for almost 2 months and having to do a lot of travelling for the kids each day etc, on top of the ligament damage I still have in my abdomen.

Anyway, I told them I'd be fine. The kids are almost finished school now, so that'll be one less thing, plus Dazza is back, so he can take on a bit more of the burden.

I was actually really surprised that they'd be that concerned. I don't think it's a big deal. I feel healthy. The baby is healthy, and I can stand to lose a few kg's anyway.

So anyway, that's my latest update. Another scan next week - just to make sure everything's ok according to the midwives - and then plain sailing till after xmas.

They told me repeatedly that I wasn't gaining enough weight either. But both babies were plenty big--they were just crushing my lungs instead of stretching my middle.

I feel like this baby is sitting right against my stomach. I just don't feel hungry much and I know it's because my stomach is being squashed. If I eat a normal sized meal I often end up vomiting simply because the food just doesn't seem to be able to go down.

Anyway, I'm not going to worry. I just try to make sure what I do eat counts. And plenty of vitamin C(hocolate)

That's in about 4 weeks. 6th of Jan. They don't seem concerned about it though and I have no history of diabetes either during pregnancy or in the family.

Did I mention that I have a thing for pregnant women in overalls?

Just in case you were planning on posting a preggers picture and wanted to know what to wear.

First time I ran across this thread. Congrats to you Aliantha. My wife may be pregnant with our second, but we're not sure yet. We recently decided to have another, and she's feeling queasy.

I like the names Duncan, Maxwell, Mason, or Ian. If we have a boy this time, my wife wants him to be named Collin.

I imagine you guys have your name all picked out by now.
