LOL at UT's pic. Although those number eights aren't bound on properly.

Scrums are strange. I cannot understand how the necks of the front row players don't all snap immediately. I'm sure mine would.

We could do a naked dwellar calendar to raise money for the cellar, but who would we sell it to?

Any advice? They seem to be under the eaves of bith ours and our neighbors' house --the houses are about 6 feet apart-- and we see sawdust on the plants below. We saw the neighbor and said , "hey look we have a joint ptoblem" and he said "oh yeah we've had it before, I'll have the mrs call the guy to smoke them out". great ...but then what? how do we stop the fuckers coming back again?

You can't. They drill a small ~10mm hole into your wood, they prefer unpainted wood, and they lay eggs or have sex or do whatever it is they do. Then the next year they come back from god knows where to the very same hole and do it all over again. The are persistent chaps.

The good news is the damage is a small ~10mm hole that doesn't go very deep. They don't cause structural problems like other critters and they aren't too keen on stinging.

We had a temporary roof over our porch for a year while we prepared for the addition being built. After we tore off the temp roof and built another story where it used to be, the bees kept flying around for days looking for the eaves that were no longer there.

But, whatever you do, don't get Mr. Jackson to come clear them out, as he never wipes his feet.

Our eave is being pushed out, though -seems like they're building something under there....

Might not be carpenter bees. I've never seen big nests, but who knows? I'd call a pro.
