blarferple--an cross beam used in ancient religious constructions
(the fake word and definition I straight-facedly gave to a male friend who challenged me to come up with a word that rhymes with purple. I almost fooled him and got a free beer. It's a talent. I can't teach it)

True Flint.
Funny thing was, dude says "a word from 3000 years ago doesn't count" and as he said that he realized I was goofin' him and he got really embarrassed. I told him it was OK, he just knows I'm so smart he had no reason to doubt me.

CISM is an acronym, not a word, but some of the newer folk in the business say it to rhyme with rhythm rather than the correct way, which is to say each letter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...without_rhymes
Good question, the only other one I could think of was orange. He said there were six. But now, reading this article, I find there really are rhymes for orange and purple. Who woulda thunk? Edit: this article contradicts itself. First it cites rhymes for orange and purple and silver then it lists those words in rhymeless word list.
