Mine was HS, the only one I remember:
Ho by lockers. Ho called me ho (which, looking back was projection on her part, as she entertained entire sports teams at one time.) Me ho slammed her ho head into the locker. Then I got on the bus for home. Dad loved it!

I used to fight a bit with my siblings, but never to really hurt them. That's about it. I've never been in a real fight.
My personal theme song is the Ballad of Brave Sir Robin. |

The last fight I was in was just north of Muqdidiya, Iraq in 2004. That probably doesn't count on this thread though. Haven't been in a fist fight since the 80's. I had to give that stuff up. I hate getting hit. I just never figured out how to not get hit by the other guy. I suppose I have about a 50/50 record. Coincidentally, I haven't been threatened with violence, not related to my job, since I quit drinking in '91.

Good work on the booze thing .joe.
In 5th grade after several warnings I thrashed my best friend, a 6th grader, for continuing to pick on one of my classmates who was a pretty soft kid. We didn't hang after that... ever.

Rugby pitch in 91 or 92. Dude sucker punched me so I head butted him and split his head open about 6 inches and sent him to the hospital. I finished the game. The head butt has always been a special weapon for me.

My last fistfight was in 8th grade...for some reason, this classmate of mine just started shit with me and we scrapped. I didn't exactly get a beatdown, but I definitely didn't win.
If I had to defend myself now, I think I could. I'd rather not have to go there, though...fortunately, I haven't had to in 20 years. |

Have had a few scary near-fight situations, usually involving BNP activists...but the last full on fist fight I had was a sprawling brawl in the middle of a fourth year art class. The bitch had bullied me and made my life hell for two years. Stepped over the line when she slapped my best friend across the back of her head whilst she and I were sat working on clay models. I just kind of..spun off my stool and laid into her. The teacher tried somewhat ineffectually to break us up but by this time I had her down on the floor and was swinging for another punch....ended up hitting back and belting the teacher (accidentally).
We got sent to the deputy head's office. He was clearly having to contain his smirk when he put me on report, he knew she'd been baiting me for a long time. As we were marched off to his office, she kept whining about how I'd broken her necklace....well, it was a thin metal chain and it had snapped so satisfyingly :P Bitch never bothered me again. Added bonus was that she was considered a hardcase in school.....logic dictated that since i had beaten her, and she was a hardcase, then I must perforce be .... a hardcase. Finished the last year and a half of my schooling without a single bullying incident. [eta] actually, there have been a couple more fights since then, but that was the biggest and most impactful. Me, my ex, his brother and his brother's gal got into a nasty street brawl with a gang of lads about 12 years ago....but that didnt stay with me as clear as the art class scrap. |

I've had tons of fights. I am usually interevening on the behalf of others, however. And it's usually guys.
Once I intervened on the behalf of some girl I didn't know but she was stabbed in the parking lot after I let the guy go. She thanked me for it about a year later. Too bad I let him go. He seemed calm when I let him get up...but I guess not. I also had to hand him off to security, that being their job, but I guess he just waited for her to leave in the parking lot after they escorted him out of the building. I didn't know he had a knife. I'm lucky......I guess.

Drunken bar brawl in Palma DeMallorca, Spain in 1988.
Four drunken Marines with pool cues and about a hundred sailors. Fit for a movie scene, I tell ya! Last one was too easy, two skinheads near Ben Franklin Hospital cornered me in an alley. They wanted my motorcycle. They got the security chain. The one where some "Radio Rambo" chased me down to a fuel island (I forget where) and came after me with a short club went nowhere as I simply pulled the nozzle from the tank and hit him in the face with the diesel (at 30 gallons per minute), then whipped out my trusty Zippo and told him to get back in his truck and never cross my path again. He did. Do I qualify as a badass now? Brian
