I have to face facts that Diz apparently has a life expectancy of 8-10 years.
Didn't know that when I adopted both my boys, but I still would have done anyway. I've had him for five years now and had more cuddles and snuggles and cat-love than I could ever have expected. Swings and roundabouts. Singas came from a very small gene pool. Luckily no mutation so far, just not long lived. Mia-cat was 17 on Friday. I give her cuddles and snuggles and she still comes back to me. She waows, but she comes back. All cats - unless feral - should be grabbed at. I like to think I've enlivened her twilight years.

Aw, Sundae... here's hoping he sticks around extra long just to prove everyone wrong

Yeah, our much loved Dane cross lived for 13 years which is highly unusual. Normally 10 would be the outside limit for a giant breed.
