I bought the remote control, of course.
Edit: Just kidding. The picture is reflected off a space mirror. I do like Elspode's timewarp idea. |

At very high elevation, the light reflects off the interface between the atmosphere and space, hence the term space mirror. Because the atmosphere is curved, the light reflects at an angle, not straight back. This is why it appears that the camera is not pointing at itself. Without looking through the viewfinder, it's very difficult to get the shot to come out right. That's what the headlight is for. |

I thought the physics/optics sounded plausible. Didn't they? It must have been the altitude. It was very strong that day. Plus, the light from Venus reflected off some swamp gas...
Whiskey Beat - I don't think xoB got your line. (Notice your transformation; I think this sounds more syncopated.) Last edited by HungLikeJesus; 08-04-2007 at 01:20 AM. |

??? That's a happy look. I had to go through a lot of pictures before I found that. Now you know why I didn't post the ones that I thought looked grumpy.

Bruce, I think HLJ was referring to my attempt (in post #756) to jokingly play off the whole initial/name thing.
