QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS SITE
UToad,
does this program allow any way of saving a link to a particular post for future reference? Having trouble getting images to link into a post lately. Is it me?

no, i mean once you see a post, can you "dogear" that post for future ref, or must you remember the topic and hunt for it each time?

Not easily. This is your post:
http://cellar.org/showthread.php?postid=70727#post70727 The anchor tags and stuff are in the code, but that link is not generated by anything except a search. There's no link on the page you could easily drag and drop or something like that. |

so i should create a word doc, copy the location, create an index by topic, then give the post a name i'd remember, etc..... that'll do, i guess. thanks, i should have thought of that.

If you mouseover the "quote" button and have your settings set to let you see the URL in your status bar, you could get the post number that way.

toad, is there a setting that allows email based posts? as in, when a new message comes in on a subscribed thread, you can read the message and reply to it from within your email program.

No such feature as email-to-post.

Mozilla is like Netscape only continuing to be updated, and much improved with cool new features, and not containing all the spammy stuff.
Firebird is like Mozilla except it's just the browser part. If you don't need the email part, the editor part, or the chat part, just get Firebird. But know ye that Firebird is a pre-release product and doesn't come with an installer and stuff. |
