Congrats wolf!

One thing I used to wear a lot when I worked in Business Casual environment was khakis and a polo shirt with slip on loafers.

ZenGum 04-01-2012 06:18 PM

Howdy Bbro! How have you been?

Dude business casual and chick business casual are very different. I doubt that I'm going to be able to repeat a pair of pants within a week.

Somebody stop me before I shop again ... bought more dresses today. Also watched a shoe program on QVC, but fortunately it was all sandals, and since I don't know what the shoe rules are, I didn't want to spend any money. Nothing really excited me anyway. Oh, bastard, more shoes coming on now.

Dagney 04-02-2012 10:05 PM

I may not remember correctly but I thought Bbro was a girl, not a guy :)

I find that Oldnavy.com has lots of comfy clothes that are good for work, and easy on the wallet.

jimhelm 04-02-2012 10:09 PM

Qvc : Where in frazer?

yeah, but she's a woman in comfortable shoes ;)

bbro 04-03-2012 06:06 PM

lol - yep, I'm a woman. I dressed in khakis for years when I worked in IT for the blood bank back home. Then, when I moved south, it was my go to outfit at my first job. I did buy other skirts and outfits, but more often than not, it was khakis.

(I'm good Zen - how are you? :) )

That's harsh - I think over here you could get away with identical pairs of trousers and variety in the top half.

Route 30 in the shopping center where the Atlanta Bread Company is/was. The Googlemap shows a Giant and the Carrabbas.

I find their commercials so aversive that I don't want to go in one for fear of flashbacks. I also didn't think that it was the sort of store that would actually stock things that would fit me. Actually, I may have gone in one at some point and they didn't ... would have been shortly after they opened in this area, though.

[threadjack]I was amused to find that this type of reaction was driving my choices when buying household insurance online recently. I avoided two comparison sites and the cheapest insurer because I do not like their ads. [/thread/jack]

I happen to like the Allstate ads with Dean Winters.

Flo annoys me.

But I always perk up when a new GEICO ad comes on.

monster 04-04-2012 06:53 PM

Tomorrow is the start for real? Good luck! Have fun :)

wolf 04-04-2012 07:07 PM

Yes, it is!

Trying to decide between skirt and shirt or pants and shirt.

BigV 04-04-2012 07:24 PM

very exciting!!!!

skirt and pants, no shirt? Trying to fit in with the "locals"? ;)

It's a rehab, not just a nuthouse. I've been assured that nakedness is far less common, so no. What I need to find out what the parameters of the substance use policy is. I can abstain from poppy seeds pretty easily, but I do drink for flavor rather than effect, and I'd like to be able to continue. My old rules were you couldn't drink within a shift of a shift. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Same here.

Do you guys have Kohls? They usually have great deals when their sales are going on. And you can get the kohls cash. Wait, am I still talking about clothes? I am so happy for you, wolf. I hope you enjoy your new job.

wolf 04-05-2012 04:24 PM

I'm waiting on Kohls coupons before going there, although I don't hold out much hope, I've never been able to buy clothing there. Housewares, on the other hand ...

wolf 04-05-2012 04:59 PM

The thread you've all been waiting for!

Is he really banned or is that just his user title?

Undertoad 04-22-2012 10:20 AM

just his user title

infinite monkey 04-22-2012 11:29 AM

Let's turn vision into reality...

Yeah, um. About that.

I was feeling ungenerous this morning when I saw his 20 posts splattered all over the place. So I banned him.

infinite monkey 04-22-2012 11:40 AM

Best Use of the Ban Hammer 2012

Griff 04-22-2012 12:41 PM

Bless your hammer glatt. He was begging for it.

Clodfobble 04-22-2012 02:04 PM

I am Clodfobble and I approve this banning.

monster 04-22-2012 03:06 PM

oh hurrah!

Sundae 04-22-2012 03:50 PM

I dunno.
Was he really intolerable?
It's possible to post a lot in one night, but was it really offensive?

Maybe I'll go back and check all his previous posts, and if I can find one of value, you would consider reinstating him?

Oh wait, I simply couldn't bear it.
I wouldn't have made it myself, but the decision holds.

classicman 04-22-2012 06:17 PM

Thanks glatt. Out of 72 posts, how many DIDN'T have a stupid video attached?

monster 04-22-2012 07:29 PM

Sundae, from the FAQ: "Don't barge in and interrupt every table in the place".
