Something retro...

Hello,

I was looking at TCPSER (www.jbrain.com) and realized something.

I could potentially put a multi-line BBS on the Internet . People are doing this now with Commodore systems.

Combined with OpenBSD, authpf (so I can authenticate users to allow them to connect over SSH), the pf firewall (which is the easiest to configure firewall I have ever used for messing with routing and traffic control on a project), and a little bit of port forwarding, I could pull this off.

Does anyone have a multi-line chat system from the olden days, particularly access to Diversi-Dial, STS, or one of the other old systems that I could put up? I have the other hardware needed.

Thanks,

Mitch
