But the thread on which it was based is insightful and important?

You're not very smart, are you?

What a waste of human flesh.

Seriously, you should try to be an individual. You know, not hating just the people it's cool to hate. You're like the little dog in the tall grass, always jumping up to see what everyone else is doing. See, I'm just not afraid of you and your band of blowhards.

Did you two have a nice date? I do hope you find love with one another; I guess it's true there really is someone for everyone, and by everyone I mean ANYONE.

Shawnee, did I say, imply, or even faintly hint I thought there was great insight there? I did not.

I am more intelligent than you'd like, perhaps much more, and assumptions that I'm not so very bright have a way of embarrassing the assumer. In my years of Cellar experience, no one here has the mental horsepower to outdo me in debate. A few pretend to it -- until I turn my attention to them. Then they retreat, or can maintain only a parlous, beleaguered position.

I am more of an individual than you'll ever be, Shawnee -- unless you're both a libertarian and a Creative Anachronist, or something similarly colorful. Just to mention a couple of mental traits that aren't exactly mundane.

*snort*

I registered with the libertarian party in college. Did I mention that a lot of my seamstress work revolves around Elizabethan corsetry?

I guess that makes me not much of an individual though since those two traits went together so predictably. Damn.

Is it just me? Has there been a rash of animosity being traded around the Cellar lately?

In these changing times, maybe we need an indicator on our post to say if we are ribbing someone. When you do, just make mine stay on permanently.
