Blessed Be

This is such a beautiful day! After near-continuous rain all month, today is sunny and cool, bright blue sky with a soft breeze, truly a miracle for May in Ohio. My roses AND my peonies are both blooming--yellows, pinks, reds. My petunias, geraniums and violets are out, my baby strawberries are lifting their heavy heads...I'm so very lucky to be witness to this. Good weather and a simmering pot of green beans. When I think to complain, I must remember this. This is happiness! This is the good life.

feelings. nothing more than feelings.

this quietude comes from within as much as without. as sight is half the seer and half the seen, so is contentment half the environment, and half the perceiver of the environ. wallow in joy as we've seen you wallow in misery, take this good, taste it, smell it, feel it. remember to remember it when it is needful.

or something

If you are in Ohio, then you are truly blessed. I'm from there, and miss it.

Enjoy your day!

I think LJ has been doing deep prajna paramita while he's waiting for the salesmen to close the deals.

I know it was weirdly beautiful. Yesterday I was trying to , you know, merge the man with the similie. Too deep. I just went to work instead.

Nice stuff lj.

Just as in the sky above winds of various kinds are blowing:
Coming from the east or west, blowing from the north or south,
Some carry dust and others not, cold are some and others hot,
Some are fierce and others mild — their blowing is so different.

So also in this body here, feelings of different kind arise:
The pleasant feelings and the painful and the neutral ones.

yes it was. almost exactly 2 years ago. now, my concern shifts from not having enough money, to not having enough time. The result is ultimately the same. It's not as though I had lots of free time when I worked at Family. I don't really think I'd see much more of my kids had I stayed, or taken that Lexus gig.... Still, the reminder is nice. I still feel lucky to have what I have. I'm too fat, and I need to quit smoking. I need to get my teeth fixed, and a few other things, but other than that, all's well. Roof doesn't leak, Jeep is running great, getting it regularly, so who can complain?

The point is to notice when things are good as well as when they aren't. That's all I'm sayin'

Hope all is well with you guys, too. Even Marisinkinchiko.
