intercellar post with an accent day is today

I took a vote, and it was unanimous. Today is the day. October 3rd will henceforth be observed as the:

InterCellar Post with anAccent Day

Please take a moment and add this event to your pda, your calendar, your whatever.

This is a very special year as it is the first year. Here's how it is observed:

1. All of your posts must be typed in an accent for the entire day(in for a dime, in for a dollar.)
  • try to spell words in a way that conveys a particular accent
  • pick key accent words to accentuate your accent
  • the accent must be in english. foreign languages don't count
  • because accents are relative, we'll assume that 'American TV' accent is the neutral
2. Once you pick your accent with your first post today, you must stay with it all day, so choose carefully!

3. Don't announce what accent you're using....that is considered cheating. The idea is for us to 'hear' it, not read it. show, don't tell.

4. It is held to be in poor taste to deride someone else's attempts at an accent. Compliments are encouraged.

5. Participation is not compulsory, but we are judging your every post as always, so if you want to be a wet blanket, go right ahead.

6. Remember that this kind of shit is the main reason you all put up with me, and have fun with it.
