Around the world in 57 days!

Interesting trip report if you have any interest in first class world travel! He went around the world in 57 days, 34 flights and some trains as well. I'd like to know what it cost him!

I have never even seen a First Class seat before. If anything I would just have assumed they were wider and reclined more. I'm only part-way through, but amazed at how the other half lives. Wow.

Fly first class goes on my Things To Do Before I Die List now.

When I worked for Westinghouse, I'd fly to a job with an open return ticket, I could use whenever I was ready to come home. The rule was, if the flight I chose to return on, was full in coach, I could bump to first class rather than waiting for another flight.

Well, you know..... hey, I didn't make the rule..... look, I've been working 13 hours a day, 7 days a week, living in a motel room, for 10, 12 maybe 14 weeks..... I deserve it.

One time I flew first class from Chicago to Philly, on a 747, alone. Yup, just me and 4 stewardesses had both decks(floors) to ourselves. Also, Philly to Madrid and back, 747 first class, but not alone...... I only had 3 seats to myself.

Did you chase them or did they chase you?

I've flown first class a few times for work. It very nice, but I'm not sure I recommend it. It very hard to go back to coach after you've been treated like a human being and allowed to sit in the normal sized seats in 1st class.
