The curious case of TheDaVinciChoad

About a month ago, new user TheDaVinciChoad showed up and seemed to really like the Cellar.

Then he posted some anti-Zionist stuff in Current Events thread (it's in FYI: how news was, and is, and will be) that I thought I should address, and because he was going full retard, I went full retard too.

After a day of this, he PMed me, thankful for the Cellar:

Just wanted to say that I appreciate the chance to debate this, with somebody who has actual knowledge of the situation. We may differ in opinions, and ideas... but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the chance to have a civil discussion about it!

Most people are too quick to anger, with too little knowledge to back it up.

Glad to see you're not one of them... just another reason I love this place!

I wrote back and pointed out that I enjoyed the debate and wanted no special treatment for being admin:

Plus, it's always nice to have an intellectual discussion, theoretical discussion, theological discussion, or, well, any kind of discussion, with somebody as intelligent as yourself, knowing that neither party (myself, nor you) will take offence to anything said. You're a good man, and I thank you for our continued debate!

Which is exactly the kind of attitude I love.

But a day later I did not go easy on him, again... and he promptly disappeared. Not one post on the Cellar timestamped after my last reply.

What the fuck. Days of heaping tons of praise on the Cellar, so thankful to have found it, ready for a full-out debate. And then... gone.

Well I waited a month before writing this, just in case he wasn't really gone - but he is, apparently. What The Fuck?
