Just what we needed!

As I was coming back in from taking out the trash yesterday, I noticed a little gem at the door...

Fantastic! Just what we need...another goddamned pizza place in the area! Because you know, we just don't have enough of them! Lessee, there's...

--Pizza City up the street at the strip mall
--Victoria's, which is at the bottom of the hill in my neighborhood, at the other strip mall
--New Station, which is across the street from Victoria's.
--Pizza Fresh and Vittorio's, which are across the street from this new place
--Marciano's, which is 4 blocks down Frankford Ave. from these three
--John's, which is around the corner from Marciano's, on Megargee St.
--Old Country, which is 1/2 mile down Linden Ave./Holme Ave. from these three
--Santucci's, which is about a mile and a half from the apartment, near Franklin Mills Mall
--Pizza Hut, which is at Franklin Mills
--Pizza Pros on Grant Ave., about 3 miles from here
--Pat's, which is on Academy Rd., about 3 miles from here
--Ultimate Pizza and Deli, at the corner of Grant and Academy, about 2 miles from here
--A couple of other places in Bensalem Township, which are 10 minutes from the house

And all of them deliver, except for Pizza Hut.

So whoofuckinghoo! Another pizza joint that offers pretty much the same fucking shit that the rest of them do. At least Marciano's has a more diverse menu, and Santucci's has great pizza.

I can't wait to call and order from Zeeno's!

'mazing how there seems to be a never ending line of pizza shop owners that move into a shitty location. Especially when they move into a store that failed the previous owners of the same kind of shitty pizza shop before them. same with chinese restaurants. location location location

(The place that Zeeno's now occupies used to be a Pizza Hut delivery shop.)

I lived in Bensalem years ago. When I loved there we had fewer fast food places. There were some really nice sit-down restaurants. Land and Sea was a nice upscale diner kind of place, and Fishers was a good caterer/restaurant. What I remember most was when they opened a Rib Ranch up in the area. My friend and I had their spicy BBQ ribs down at their Aramingo location and almost cried during the meal because they were so hot.

When the Bensalem location opened, it burned down within a few weeks and I never got a chance to try it.

I went back there recently and now all of the diners and nicer places seem to be gone and it's all take out or chains. No more diners or delicatessens.

Yeah...I live about 10 minutes from Street Road. Fisher's is still there, but everything else is chains. Although, there are a few lesser-known chains along there, like Carraba's and Donato's.

I keep saying I'm going to go down to Mayfair Diner...I'll have to do so before we move.

Sometimes they're supposed to fail, having been a write off, cover or money laundry from the gitgo.
