RIP Y-100, Philadelphia

Another radio station bites the dust:

<a href="http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=68969">Y100/Philly Deejays Say Goodbye, Format Flip Imminent</a>

Interestingly, Radio One pulled the plug on alt-rock WDRE several years ago, and the majority of the staff went to Y-100. Radio One then bought Y-100 and are now firing them AGAIN. (Radio One is apparently allergic to rock stations; the only one left in their portfolio is in Louisiana.)

Format flip tonight at midnight. If you want to hear a station's death throes, tune in now.
