impotence
I can't write my paper. It's a stupid, worthless little impotent paper, but, still---I canna write it. I am frozen in fear. I shall be exposed as a fraud. goddamn. I suck more than anyone has ever sucked. I am not worthy of a lot of shit that I can't think of right now.
Damn. I dunno what do DO.

Despite my near legendary ability to hold forth on just about any topic, that smaller subset of things I know absolutely nothing about includes "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf".
Let me know if you have to write a scholarly paper on bad science fiction films of the Fifties and Sixties ...

I'm supposed to analyze the play WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF and say things like, what the major theme is (Illusion vs. Reality) (Biology vs. History) and stuff like that. Problem is--I don't know the material well enough to really talk about it--I'm just learning the stuff. Like, what is the Seed of the play? What is the Counter Through-action? Yeah, stuff I don't really know. You could write about Illusion Vs. Reality for your letter--it IS getting on to Samhain.

Bri,
First you have to know what the teacher thinks those phrases mean. Somewhere in your previous materials (or in the lectures) they were probably explained. I assume you read the play. Have you read it more than once? I find that helps. Now pretend your best friend is sitting in your living room. You've both read the play and she asks you what you think it's all about. What would you say to him/her? Phrase it conversationally. There's your rough draft for the theme of the play. You have lots of good ideas, Bri. Just get 'em lined up and write 'em down.

I'm supposed to be writing a major review of the literature on teaching methods for youts with autism, so I can't write your paper. I don't know a thing about your play, but I know your Prof is gay, so make it about sexuality.
