MSNBC does impressive photojournalism, and uses the Internet to good effect with The Week In Pictures series.

Many of these photos in this series are actually thematic photo essays with sound accompanying slide shows.

some impressive photos to be sure.....two comments, though. i have to wonder what sort of zoom was used for the moonshot (though I suppose i could calculate the percentage of the frame that the moon takes up and go from there, as the moon's size is a relative constant); the shot of the Leonids meteor shower (part2/22) shows exactly one, maybe two, meteors in the seven minute exposure - the rest of the streaks are simply star trails...

hmmm.
