Non-AT&T iPhone

With Software and Soldering, a Non-AT&T iPhone

Mr. Hotz, a resident of Glen Rock, N.J., published detailed instructions online this week that he says will let iPhone owners abandon AT&T’s service and use their phones on some competing cellular networks.

Trying to lock people in is silly. They'll always find a way to do what they want to do.

There are ways to get around some of the iPod's limits, so I guess it was just a matter of time with the iPhone.

I just don't understand it...maybe I'm not a big tech geek. But I can't even fit all my music onto a 60-gig iPod. What would make me want a phone that has an 8-gig iPod? Better yet, why would I want to spend $500 on said phone and get locked in with only one wireless company for 2 years, so that in essence, that phone basically costs $3000?

Sorry guys...I guess I wasn't meant for these times.

I can see no use for an Ipod or Iphone, mp3 player.
But my age most music, "racket" has passed me by.
Kinda like whats been said by each passing generation.
But really. I don't listen to much music. The old country shit makes me drink and think or maybe vise verser.
BTW. I wouldn't pay $500 bucks to see a pissant eat a bale of hay.
