The India-Pakistan border is walled, and lit with bright floodlights along the entire way; due to that, you can see it at night from the ISS.

It doesn't take many people to make a lot of electricity, and about the same to make a little. So layoffs would be in the distribution chain and they would just be added to the starving rolls supported by not buying the juice. Or die in the gutter, India has too many people anyway.

This is supposed to be central park during a January total eclipse of the Sun in 1925. I see some questionable things but 1925 technology could explain them.
