Happy Family Day
 My friend from the frosty maple called to wish me a happy holiday. The stark contrast in our value systems took me back a little. As Canadians are valuing family today here in the US we are having Presidents day. I have no idea what that is good for so I am in my heart participating in Family Day. The holiday feels so warm and cozy thinking of this day off as Family day instead. |

Family Day is an Alberta only holiday. None of the other provinces or territories have this civic holiday. (One of the only things I miss about moving to BC) Either way.. Happy Family Day to all!!!

Sounds like a Chinese holiday.... no not for the culinary namesake, because of the emphasis the Chinese place on family, living and dead.
