Atlanta Tornado.

Amazing photos. Thankful that most people are ok.
Rarely does a tornado land in the midst of a city.

Holy mary mother of Jesus! Better go look that up!

Fort Worth had a tornado enter the city, smash everything up, and pulled itself out before the edge of downtown. You could tell the path of the tornado by the time I got there, because all the high rises had boards where the glass was. I don't remember I think it was in '99. That rarely does happen though..you're right. It's eerie to see first-hand because when a tornado does that it feels almost intentional..but it's not and you are wacky for thinking so.....Ft Worth is in the middle of tornado haven and really it should have happened before......But when it enters in downtown and is out before the other end of downtown you really think the gods are trying to wreak havoc when in fact, people probably shouldn't build high rises right in the path of tons of tornadoes...There have always been tons of tornadoes there (Ft. Worth/Dallas area) and always will be. (during my lifetime anyway)

Hmm. Interesting. The skyscraper housing our Atlanta regional office was hit, but I don't have any e-mails about it. Must not have damaged our floors.

really... in the middle of town? or on the outskirts?

I thought it's was all about probabilities for a tornado to touch town in a town would be lower than say out in the burbs or farmland but you say there is a regular path they take there?

HA! I looked up dallas tornados and got a Hockey team! I guess they are pretty regular

ps...glad everythings ok glatt

Same storm bounced over our way and knocked out a few houses with a tornado touch down but thankfully no one was killed. It was nasty, lost all the power in the whole city for quite a while (right in the middle of the second largest St. Pats celebration), that was worse than the storm itself.
