Any South Carolinians about?
I need to know how long it takes to drive from the Charlotte airport to Columbia, SC. My husband is going to his sons graduation at Fort Jackson in couple of weeks. Im trying to figure out the best place to put him up. So far, Im thinking somewhere in the Fort Mill/Carolwinds ares, but Im wondering how long a drive it will be for him.
eta - map quest says its about an hour plus, but is it a very hilly drive? Last edited by Pico and ME; 03-05-2010 at 04:11 PM. |

Lots of downright mountainous interstates in Colorado. Just keep a look-out for all the disabled people holding cups by the side of the road.

It doesn't matter how mountainous, it has to be at least 55mph minimum, and no more than 6% grade, to be an Interstate Highway, with very few exceptions.

I-70 has a 75mph speed limit thru some very mountainous sections. Scares the socks off me.
