Crematorium to heat swimmng pool

I think it's a great idea. Some don't. What do you think?

I think it's a great idea.
What is not clear in the article is that it's not using the burning bodies as fuel. In order to render trace elements safe, they are superheated AFTER cremation. The heat is then allowed to escape in a safer form from the crematorium chimney. Instead of sending this energy up into the sky they intend to harness it instead.

Personally I think if you send your beloved to be burned up in a big fire you already realise that once dead the body is simply a piece of meat. So why not utilise the energy needed to do this safely in a way that benefits the whole community?

I am not anti-cremation, but I do think it is wasteful. This makes me much more pro. If developments along these lines continue I might even come round to the idea of having it done to me when the time comes. I'll not be survived by anyone who'll want to tend a grave after all.
