Mozilla Firebird 0.6 (was Phoenix)
Mozilla has released a new version of the Firebird browser (it used to be called Phoenix).
My first impression is that it seems a tad bit slower than 0.5. Switching from one tab to another seems like it takes a fraction of a second longer than before, in particular. The new default theme is hella sweet, though. Anyone else using this yet? Any impressions? If you're still using IE, you owe it to yourself to give it a try! |

Back to Mozilla 1.4b (which still has some annoying bugs). Firebird left me high and dry six months ago and it seems like they've improved almost nothing. How about a little fucking longer between updates?

I put off grabbing the latest Phoenix nightly for a long time because I thought that the next version was _just_ _around_ the _corner_. Oh well, I'm happy with what has been released and I've forgiven them the long wait already.
Even though it isn't necessary, I want to compile it, with Xft support. I think that might finally give me pretty fonts in a browser. |
