Fashion Sense
Now I'll be the first to admit my taste in fashion is jeans and a pocket tee and I pretty much don't care what you wear. That said I sometimes notice clothes that just don't register as being apropos.
This is Nane Annan, wife of U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, visiting Pakistan. The caption claims she's giving a vaccination to an earthquake survivor in Muzaffarabad. What in hell is she wearing ![]()

I'm not so worried about the burlap bag she's wearing...... that poor kid looks like he just passed out, and she looks like she's going to eat his face!
That's gotta be comforting! |

Looks like she could do with eating something. Anything. Give the poor woman some of that Oil-for-Food rice and millet, at least.
(I think I saw that outfit on a Tusken Raider in Star Wars IV)

I don't like the tweed covered adult arm on the kids hand, forcing him to gulp that stuff down. OR the adult hand on the boy's head. Or the military guy with the evil grin. Just what are they doing to that child again? Looks suspicious to me!
![]() Oh, Nane Annan is wearing a stylish number made of natural linen and possibly a jute blend with a silk lining, so it won't be so scratchy. She bought it in an NYC boutique and spent enough money on it to feed that kid's entire village for a month. The first time she sends the garmet to the dry cleaners, it will fall apart.
