gmail notifier
Neat standalone application. I suppose it's similar to keeping Yahoo messenger open, but it runs a lot lighter and anyway, it's gmail, so it's pretty fucking cool by association, IMHO.
But this morning, I encountered this problem with the notifier: "Cannot read messages (bad data; 6)." ![]() Fucked up for a good two hours until about 15 minutes ago, when I noticed that the warning symbol (an !) disappeared. ![]() Anyone know what this is? I've been looking around the Web, but can't find a definitive answer. A post on another forum notes that Gmail automatically downloads and updates its registry files - which is spelled out in its user agreement, but something to watch for. What's next? We've all heard rumors that a Google browser is in the works, but what's to follow? GoogleIM? An Outlook-like application? GoogleTunes? Google Time Travel?
