Leaving for Vietnam
I've been shopping and packing for a trip to Vietnam on Wednesday. I haven't been together with my wife in over a year and I can't take it anymore. I'm going to try to talk some sense into the Consulate, and if that doesn't work, I'll go shopping for a Palestinian vest to wear when I visit the next time.
![]() Seriously though I'm going to travel around Vietnam. I chose a great time too. It's the rainy season. It's going to rain constantly until October. At least it won't be AS hot, though there might be even MORE mosquitos!! ![]() I'll only be there for 2 and a half weeks. It was nice of my new job to let me go on this trip. They really like me. I picked up some shorts, t-shirts, and a ton of gifts for my in-laws. They were sad when I couldn't make it for Tet this year so they are thrilled that I can come now. I am just now noticing how controlling my wife is. She's telling me who I can drink with, how much I can drink, who to buy gifts for, what to buy, etc. I need to nip this in the bud right now before it gets out of hand. I realize she's looking out for me and she's worried about me. But I'm a grown man and an Irish man at that. I know all about drinking. Anyway, I leave Wednesday night (technically Thursday morning at 1:30am) and I'll try to check in when I can.
