Garnet needs help raising bail
PETA hates animals. they like to kick them and hurt them and give them really mean looks. maybe talk mean too.
apparently these folks forgot to read the part of the handbook where it explains that keeping the animals alive is considered more ethical. oh yeah, don't throw 'em in dumpsters either. ![]()

Is nothing as it appears? If this is all true, I'm appalled! I wish Garnet would log on and say something! It's very bad karma to be mean to critters.

I've got no problem with PETA euthanizing animals.
The only problems I see here are if PETA promised they would find homes for the animals, but euthanized them instead. It's also a problem that they are dumping the dead bodies in someone else's dumpster. They should be fined for that. The article says in a few places that PETA promised to find homes for the animals. But it quotes someone in another place that they promised to TRY to find homes for the animals. Big difference. |

Is this a one-time deal, or has it been happening in multiple places?

I got a PM from Garnet...she is plenty bummed out about this. "sick to my stomach" is how she put it. She feels lost and betrayed and she doesn't feel like taking any on the chin about it. She seems sincerely bereft. She also said she was never coming back here.

Next time you see a soldier, smack them for Lynndie England.
![]() I feel badly for Garnet and the thousands of PETA workers that have tried to do good things for dumb animals. People who really and truly care for the well being of the critters I've always had a problem with the PETA leadership just like I have a problem with Bush. I'm not, however, going to berate a PFC for the blunders in Iraq or Garnet for this fiasco. ![]()

I'm glad she's (apparently) not blindly supporting them.

There are a variety of sarcastic comments that I could, of course, make under these circumstances.
In deference to Garnet, I will not be making them at this time. I know there are a lot of sincere people working for and supporting PETA, even if I think they are mistaken. Becoming suddenly disillusioned can be very disorienting and painful.

I'm confused... is Garnet the person mentioned in the article or does she just work for PETA?
