Run me out of here

Dearest Cellarites,

OK, here's a slightly odd request. After about a year of sporadic cellar dwelling I recently renewed my addiction and have spent a lot of time in here. It has been fun. The problem is I am up against the clock to produce a specific amount in fees (it's a pretty significant amount) by the end of December. Because of the way my business is structured that isn't as simple as just going out and selling a product to a known audience. I have to bring in totally new clients to generate this income.

Sooo, I need you to (politely) remind me to get the hell out if I am spending significant amounts of time in here over the next few months.

Thanks,
Lookout123

Cold Turkey is the only thing that seems to work.
Just popping in to check on a few threads doesn't work.
For me anyway. If I click here once, I'll be here all day.

Maybe limit yourself to specific times and days. Like only check in at weekend, or only after 8pm or something.

Thank you Lookout.
I have deadlines and errands myself. Maybe you could remind me and I can remind you.
I have production deadlines that I am stringing along at work because I am too busy quoting ticks attached to someone's balls in photoshop. That gets to me. It's even painful to think about.......My boss is still convinced of my efficient and quality work. But I know the difference.

I would like to request some help in this area myself. I thought of starting a cellar addiction thread- but well- you would also then have to be here to view it....

Consider one of those children access filters. Use it to block access to the Cellar. Use it as a crutch. Time and effort necessary to undo the block may be sufficient to keep you from the Cellar.

As a crutch, it would only be a temporary solution. But then it is only needed for a few months.

Fuck off, Lookout, you spaz! Piss off! Go away! And don't come back...

...until you've conquered the world and sold all you need to sell. Then come back and boast about it.

You can send me my 10% in cash for providing you this valuable running-off service.

Every minute on The Cellar will now cost you 10 cold calls.

Sounds like penance from a Priest. Are seven Hail Marys good enough?

He wants us to share his burden of self discipline.

You realize what this means. Now, we all have to ...

"be on the lookout."

well, i have to admit there are a few cellarites i'd invite to "be on the lookout". oh wait, what did you mean? nevermind.

i was mildly successful yesterday. I checked in during a couple of marathon conference calls but didn't post so it didn't take any real time at all.
