Hey cocksuckers do you watch DEADWOOD?

I love that cunting show!

Season 2 begins in June.

AMAZING writing mixed with a lot of wild west gun fights, tough guys, whores, and a lot of cursing!

It's like Sopranos in a Western format.

Fuckin' good show. Apparently it was originally pitched as a show in ancient Rome, before he knew that they already had one in development.

oh well, then you wouldn't get the humor if I called you "Philadelphia cocksucker!", much like woo saying "San Francisco cocksucker!" in Deadwood.

I think I asked the question on another thread of which HBO series has the tougher characters.

In an all out fight with no guns, who would win, the characters from Sopranos, Deadwood, or Rome?

Rome.

But I don't watch either Sopranos or Deadwood. But for all-out asskickingness, Rome.

I'm not so sure. I think Bullock and Swearengen might give Pullo and Vorenus a run for their money. Considering how nasty the result was when they fought each other I'd say they were tough enough.

I've pretty much stopped watching the Sopranos. I'm looking forward to Rome and Deadwood. I even taped the previous season of Rome for someone who missed a few episodes.

I really like that show. Some critics think it's the best one on TV.

Really miss Keith Carradine after his four episodes as Wild Bill. Jewel is a jewel.

It is a GREAT show. It really is one of the best, and highly recommend renting it on DVD.

I don't watch Rome, though I've heard that was good.

I think they're tougher on Deadwood than on Sopranos.

I already burned one, just in case they did not release the DVD until 2007 when the new season starts.

I really want to like Deadwood but it just does not do anything for me. It's like they are trying too hard. They should just stick to the story and omit trying to gross everybody out with the language. People forget that during this same period of time, most of the men in this country, even those who ended up in the gold fields or robbing banks, learned a stylish form of speaking and a depth of vocablulary that is completely unknown today. This was excellently portrayed in True Grit. The actors of Deadwood are showing the strain of doing 10+ takes of each scene, speaking lines over and over again where practically the entire sentence and every sentence is the same four-letter word. You can only do that so many times before your lines all start coming out flat. So I have not really been able to get interested in what is going on - they are all saying the same thing and that is boring.
