Gun thread must die!

I've tried my best to kill it. I failed. Or at least bung it in the political ramblings forum or nothingland. But it's just name-calling circles now. not exactly the first thing you want newbs to come across. Well jmho anyway.

Sometimes people need to argue - what's so wrong about that? It's cathartic. If you don't like it.. blah blah blah...

I'm not trying to be shitty to you specifically monster, but sometimes the argument is interesting. What is never interesting is all the people chiming in to say stop it and tell everyone how immature they are.

Problem is that some folks don't know how to handle it when someone disagrees with them. Inability to separate the ego from the opinion. Any disagreement is seen as a personal attack.

Gotta pick and choose with whom and over what.

Let 'em go at it I reckon.

I skim read them or dont bother at all...its that simple.

If newbies read them and judge the whole of the cellar on those kinda threads, they arent going to want to hang around long anyways.

Any forum worth a pinch of shit has volatile topic threads, I like them because it shows different sides of the *characters* I have come to know and love its more of a whole picture.

You'll be pleased to know there's been a significant thread drift today. I'm sure it'll be back on topic before long though.

Sorry monster, I screwed up your efforts by being the next person to post. If I hadn't, then UG would've been the bottom burper. LOL

I don't understand this trend, bitching about other's threads. This, people whining about Cloud's threads & being real assholes about it, mine and others... so what, really, are we supposed to care what you think?
What is the point?

We're all entitled to our opinions on threads and the tone of the Cellar. Just look at how quickly people who post in txtspk are told that we don't like it here.

Differing public opinion makes this place what it is. I found out I was in the minority when I complained. Good. I needed to know that, I'm over myself now. You?

Want to censor my opinion?

When I don't like a thread, I punch my computer monitor. Well, not the actual monitor, but a plexiglass safety panel I installed in front of the monitor to protect it from whatever it is that keeps making them not work anymore.

I swear to God, if I have to punch one more broken monitor I am gonna seriously punch something.

Nope, I just want to know why you care what others are doing when it does not affect you at all? Especially when the way you express that is hurtful to them. Busybody much?
