Original Poems
Here's a couple I wrote a while ago.
A Rose When a flower blooms it seldom recognizes the symptoms of its own doom. The petals wilt as time goes on, and withered cracks appear on the pristine velvet of the dying beauty. The pity is that time can’t heal The loss Of one As Beautiful As you… RAINS It was dirty, dry and dreary as the sun beat hotly down, The shimmers we saw clearly as they wavered from the ground. The rains they hadn’t come as was wont to happen often, but the clouds now brought the thrum, of the heat’s end, like a coffin. The skies did crash and break, like the burst of dawns first light, and so the ground did take, the kiss of rains delight. The rivers banks did burst, a bubbling boiling mass, and the waters brought their curse into the deserts great morass. They rushed along regardless of the terror they brought forth, as they ran into the yardless plains, until they lost their force. The rivers did subside and life went on and weary, but rains will come again to the dirty, dry and dreary.

How funny - here's my rose poem:
A Rose Blossoming so unsure Withering at length to nothing With beauty in between

I wrote this last night for my friend with BC who got chemo today (the last dose of AC) because Hallmark was found lacking...
![]() Here’s hoping when they’re groping, They’ll find a lump reduction Here’s wishing when they’re fishing Veins will need no seduction May all your blood tests come out right And may your pee be nice and bright But most of all on this chemo day I just wanted to drop a note to say Ah, Fuck cancer ![]()

Alright, I dont usually post these anywhere other than Myspace, but I figured there are alot of my friends who like them, so maybe some of you will also.
When I write, I usually have a melody in my head, and they are written in form of a song. They come fairly easy since the music helps dictate the lyrics. Here are a couple. And if anyone is interested, I can post more. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Take Away I'm not the only one who is broken, But I am the only one to blame. Sheaded fears like a distant memory Reclaim their place within my mind. Soaring like the eagles was too hard to control And in selfishness I lost my soul. I dreamed the only dream I was made of, It took me higher then before. To reach the mountains and touch the clouds I breathed the air of some place else. Can I watch the setting sun lay down Before it crashes into the sea? More distant then an echo More haunting then a cry, I turn to go run and hide. The soft embrace of someone that I love The chilling wayward smile that calls. To walk the wonders and seach a lifetime For things which are impossible to find. If I stay here only one last time. Will you wait for when I am done and tired? Could this be whats left from all the years? One last look of immortality. My heart sings, "Can you take this pain away?" My life brings hope and meaning through the days This time, I will forget most everything If you could take the pain away. Laying down in an endless field The wind sofy kisses my face The skys above me, the earth below me Know not how I fell. The silver lining on the clouds Are just a glimpse into the rageing storm The lantern holds bright within this endless night The city silence is its vow. Can I hold you for this last goodbye? Until the twilight is our shoud. The echos of the childerns cries Shouldnt be on muted ears. I love you, could you take this pain away? I found you, could you take me to a better place? I want you, will you be my memory? I cant do, anything without you For all I've done and all I tried, For all I've lost, I can confide For what I want and who I am For where I finish and begin Tell me now one last time Take my fears and take my pain Take these regrets and this shame Take this sorrow I dont want it now Take this time and stay with me Take my heart and my missery Take this world I use to love Take it now with all you can To take it, to want it to love it to feel it, to hold me there one last time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Breathe Again Through these days of steel My walk thorugh life surreal I come together, As the only one Chard from burning days The sun's yellow rays Blind my eyes from the path I take. And Im still trying To take this path But im still laying On the one before Now that we are here Into unknown I know Is the only no Which surpassed me At the top of my climb Went up to breathe the air With a glimce so rare Painted portrait On a canvas sky Dreams from all ages Lost in time and their haunting past defined Broken bottles wash up on the sand Communicating passing judgement Allocating what is left And when the final wave Has gone and washed away I will not be the one who's left there on the shore From last hope I hang My thoughts boomerang and bring me back To their starting point. Gone from here again Cant see if it will begin As Im waiting, For just one touch And Im trying, To breathe again As they're failing To see what a loss. |

Weep not for me, I deserve no countenance
My petrified heart is the overture to the requiem For the hearts I have shattered Its stony beat A lighthouse for those still to come. Steer clear. |

Count my tears by the streaks on my countenance,
redeem my heart with petrified overtures. The stones my heart has shattered steer clear of my lighthouse, and its stony beat. You, too, should fear my love |

If you encountered me in the park and peered into my baby carriage, would you be as fast to apply whorish eye make-up to my baby with a cleft lip, to make her more pleasing to your eye?

Why must there be a "spark" that animates me?
Because legions of seekers throughout time believed, There must be a puppeteer, a glowing ember, to steer this machine? I can love a Lamborghini, for what it achieves, Why can’t I give the same respect to me?
