Sick of Having a Body
I'm sick of having a body. There's always something wrong with it or it has to be tended to in some way. It's too hot or cold or tired but it won't sleep properly; it's thirsty or hungry or needs to discharge something; it's got something in its eye or a plugged up sinus cavity or its ears are waxy. It needs to be cleaned and moisturized and sloughed and plucked and sanded and painted or brushed. I have to take it to the doctor because it's infected or growing things it shouldn't or not working properly. I have to buy clothes for it because it is inadequate on its own. It's too tall or short or thin or fat, it's too bulky or delicate. It is prone to accidents. The times it has afforded me happiness are few and too far between, however I am usually in daily bodily pain of some kind or other. The body's capacity for joy seems so minute compared to it's capacity for suffering. After a certain age no matter what you do it will look funny and betray you.
I hate living in the physical. I can't wait to go back to spirit.

Non-corporeal existence is going to ruin your post count.

We need our bodies, because they carry around our heads.

I don't like my head much, either. It keeps me awake at night; its always worrying; it can never remember anything; its always off in the past or prancing around in the future with bad results; I can never please it - its either lonely or overwhelmed by too many people. I'll stop now, but I could fill an entire page on what my head does to me.

I know, right? I'd love to download my brain into a clean, silicon matrix. A la the Heechee.

My body and head are pains in my ass, but they serve my purpose. It's all about me, to them. I wouldn't have them any other way.

My body and I are friends, most of the time. I imagine the afterlife to be similar to the before life... which was pretty much nothing... like being put under, it's just nothing. So yeah, the bod and I are friends.

You are young and (I assume) not suffering from satan's own sinus infection.

I only need my body to get around I too have my creaks and groans. I feel glad I am not a ship or a plane because I'd not be very sea or air safe. Fortunately or unfortunately our bodies allow us to hobble along to the finish line. I hope your sinus infection goes away soon! Drink lots of water. Eat bananas. I guess potassium helps? Breath Eucalyptus. I don't know if it helps the nose but it smells good. I drink specialty herb teas. I don't know if they help but they are somewhat nourishing to the spirit. Quote:

Have you tried the thing where you pour water up your nose with the thing that looks like Aladdin's lantern (but cheap plastic)? I know a guy who swears by it.
