favorite TV shows this season

Hey,

Found my way to this forum... been lookin around on the web for cool communities to discuss all sorts of things. Never quite knew it all existed until recently.

Anyways, wondering what kind of tv shows people watch here religiously - as in can't miss an episode. I like just about everything having to do with crime - cops, CSI, forensic files, I detective, 24!!!. Cable networks have been upping the ante as well, don't leave them out of the mix. What are your favorites this season?

The "season" is pretty much over for me. I don't watch much normal TV or series, but here's the current faves at the Elspode ranch:

Dead Like Me (Showtime)
Carnivale (HBO)
American Idol (yes, I know, and I'm sorry)

And that would be about all that we watch with any regularity. We watch *lots* of movies, though.

Has anyone picked up another season of Dead Like Me? I think Showtime has dropped it.

Dead wood ROCKS , Mrs. Zippyt don't care for it . To gritty i guess .
Carnival is just TOO damn weird !!
Iron Chef America has gotten pretty good . not a series but TIVO grabes them all .
West Wing is getting interesting as well .
Star Wars on cartoon net work has expanded from 5 minets to 15 minets , i have ALL of them stored on the TIVO as well .
One to look for just for weirdness sake is The Venture Brothers , a weird sort of spin on Johnny Quest , again on cartoon network .

The ones I have on DVR are:

Enterprise (the final season 4 episodes start mid April and I swear T'Pol better end up married to Trip or I'ma be PISSED...and Cap'n better not end up with that stuck up little bitch Captain of the Columbia...)

Quantum Leap (still my all time favorite show in the whole world)

Whose Line is it Anyway

Family Guy

Daily Show

I've watched Venture Brothers, and it's funny the first couple times you see it, then it starts to lose it's charm. Although I get spiff from HBO and Showtime, I don't watch their original series since Sex and the City went off.

Shows I *used* to watch religiously (while they were on, before syndication):

Red Dwarf (which I now have every episode of, including the American Pilot which is teh suck, and smeg-ups hosted by Patrick Stewart)

Greatest American Hero

Chicago Hope (until Mandy Patinkin left)

Space: Above and Beyond (DAMN that was a good show!!)

Star Trek: The Next Generation (except season Two when the bitch of a doctor Polaski was on...I hated her. No one was more happy than me to see Beverly come back from pregnancy leave.)

....Not that I'm in to Sci-Fi or anything...

LOST on ABC

Just one - Lost on ABC Wednesday nights. It's the first show in years that I've become addicted to. And it's the only show that, for me, is as good as reading a book.

The West Wing has just gone into syndication on Bravo. I get 2-3 episodes a day that way, plus Marathon Mondays which are something like 6 or 7 in a row.

It's a beautiful thing.

Along with movies, I watch a lot (too much) tv. And the invention of the DVR is only feeding my habit.

Monday:
Fear Factor ( But I still like it)
The Ultimate Fighter ( Mr. chainsaw's favorite)

Tuesday:
The Amazing Race! ( Probably my favoritest show right now, it's super fun)
The Office ( Funny, even though it's a knock off)

Wednesday:
Lost ( So weird/different I can't stop watching)
Gilmore Girls ( Cute, clever and girly)
America's Next Top Model ( But addicting)

Thursday:
Survivor (again But entertaining, sort of)
The Apprentice ( Gotta love the Donald)

Sunday:
The Contender ( C'mon, it's Sly & Sugar Ray)

All of that with a lot of the Food Network and a bit of the Animal Planet mixed in.

Geez, I watch too much "reality" tv. Oh well, it's better than watching the same damn actors over and over... I guess.

I hate to admit this, but that reality show about the funeral home has got me hooked. Family Plots, I think it's called.

Jeff Corwin's show is neat too. Better than Croc Hunter by a mile, just because Corwin knows he's a dork.

I'm an Everwood fag. Shut up.

The Entertainer, which wrapped up the other day, is another American Idol wannabe, but Wayne Newton is the host, and there is no one who kicks more ass than Wayne Newton.

I like the Office as well, but only watch it sporadically.

I also watch Bargain Hunt, because that guy kicks almost as much ass as Wayne Newton

Seattle Mariners schedule
CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, C-SPAN in small doses
Discovery Channel (who really cares what the program is...I like most of it)

That should about fill my 5 hour/week quota.
