It isn't the "ugly-ass hippo", but this one-day-old hippo made me smile.

Woodland Park Zoo’s newest addition to its family of great apes, a female gorilla born at the zoo a week ago, makes her first public appearance yesterday. The unnamed baby, daughter of Amanda and Vip, will be in the outdoor public exhibit only on warmer days, zoo officials said.
