Jacquelita and I are engaged
J and I are engaged as of last night.
This woman is funny and cute and sincere and sexy and smart and kind and honest. But the main thing is, somehow we just go right together, and I will always feel that way. I can be a total goofball with her and she only enjoys it, somehow.  She has an enormous heart and a giving nature and I find I need her way more and more. Now that's the limitation of my mushiness here, you know I could get really seriously messy with all the lovey doveyness and etc. But there you have it, we are engaged! |

So I think maybe one of my totem animals is a grammar teacher, skinny old grayhaired coldwar-era woman, glasses, ruler. She's grown complacent with age, maybe senile, too feeble either way to lift her ruler anymore.

Thanks to everyone for their heartfelt congrats!
Tony and I have been together for a few years now, and his kindness and endless thoughtfulness never cease to amaze me. I have never met a man who was more well read, or more intriqued by the quirky nature of humans. He's funny and warm. We can talk about any topic under the sun, or say nothing at all, and remain at ease with each other. When we're together I feel safe and relaxed. He's right we fit together - we compliment each other in ways I never would have anticipated. He's my strength and my heart. (sorry if this is all too mushy!!) I love you honey!
