Emu oil

I love emu oil! It's a great all-purpose skin treatment.

Of course, some people are bothered by the whole "bird-fat" idea, but that doesn't bother me. I use it on any skin rash, irritation, etc. I use it on my piercings. It's good stuff!

My cats love the emu! I give them a little (I mean a real little, like . . . a couple of drops) to lick off their fur. I also rub their fur with it. I think it's good for their digestion and their coat, particularly now when the weather changes and they're shedding.

Here's a page talking about uses on your pets. It's from a commercial site, so take the testimonials with a grain of salt, but I thought the one from the vet treating horse legs with it is interesting:

I just discovered that my cat loves kalamata olives. I hope olive oil is okay for cats.

Olive oil is very good for animals with fur. It will make your cats coat very sleek and shiney. My mum used to give it to her dog (on a vets advice) because the dog used to get allergies to grass seeds etc which in turn caused her fur to be a little below par. The olive oil really helped her coat retain its sheen.

That's so cute! He only likes kalamatas, not any other kind?

I've only recently gotten a taste for olives other than black ones...kalamatas are pretty good, though a bit salty.

You should try them sliced up on pizza! They are so much better that boring ole black olives.
