The Youtube Gong show hosted by lumberjim

I know I said i had retired this user...but 2 of it's posts DID get deleted...leaving me at a uninspiring 9998 posts. AND i need the Mod powers it has in this forum to do what i want to do here. all that said....my point:

Put what you think are good songs from youtube in this thread. If I find them to be worthy, I'll allow them to remain. I may even praise you...If i think they stink....I'll toss them. And probably tease you too. sound like fun? are you thick skinned enough? remember that if i get too out of hand, you can always cry to bruce...or tony or wolf.

I do have pretty eclectic tastes in music, so it's not like they all have to be Led Zeppelin songs. Just put things that you find special or deep....i have a special liking for cover songs by good bands. I'll (LJ)be putting up stuff I like, too...and if you think fairness matters, UT can judge my songs. personally, i'd prefer to be omnipotent about this....but i know how you liberals can be.

oh....jinx made a good point....one song per post....cuz if i like one and not the other....i'll have to make a tough choice.....i dont think i can modify posts with my limited mod powers in here.

after all that, i sure hope i actually have the power to delete or alter posts in this forum....i think i did at one point.....

anyway: first entry:

remember when Dylan was good? you do? you're old

Well to be fair, my love for it probably has everything to do with the fact that it was a hit my junior year in high school, and my best friend and I listened to it on repeat every day for months while driving to work. It is soaked in enough nostalgia to get me genuinely choked up if I'm in the right mood.

Grateful Dead - Uncle John's Band @ Radio City 10-31-80

I don't know how to link the image and all yet. This was a personal favorite of mine one of my first of hundreds of Dead shows. Many great times, friends and memories - some fuzzy.

Sheesh, your first day in office and you're already trolling for a line item veto.

At least you're not trying to go the 'unitary executive' route.
