Certainly not, but the double belly buttons feel they are, in spades.

Right. My post wasn't about christianity though, or god or any religion. I'm not sure that you have to be religious to be enlightened or to be aware. I'm pretty sure that's not the point of the OP. It definitely wasn't my point.

It was my point. A lot of people experience a warm and fuzzy glow, when the feel they are enlightened. What makes people feel they are enlightened varies widely... very widely.

From what I've learned about my particular brand of enlightenment, that warm glow would be associated with self satisfaction. The feeling that you've got some prize no one else knows about or is entitled to. I don't know how it would really feel. I think I'm just as fucked up as the rest of the world, but I'm almost certain you're not supposed to feel special. You're supposed to just feel love (or whatever word you want to use to describe the feeling you get from being at peace with everyone and everything).

I was thinking about Tori Amos, too, but I sort of relate her with Nirvana Philosophy because she did a version of "Come As You Are" that I really enjoyed.

1. At singularity, there exists the single united energy that is infinitesimely dense.
2. This energy tends to break down into various different forms as result of laws of physics.
4. The broken energy may evolve itself as an organic form under suitable conditions.
5. And hence forth the seprated energy may start to think of itself as a unique entity.
6. But the fact remains that this seprated form is nothing but a small channel from the main sea.
7. And the very point is about realization of this fact. Its nothing about remembering or forgetting.
8. Hungry ghosts are merely the psychological-social complexity product of human world. And Nirvana cant be told, it can only be experienced.

and again, may I add ... horshit.

I do appreciate how you managed to shoehorn a little physics in there. It makes it seem all sciency.

Bullshit. You can be a victim if you want, but it's a a choice to sit around and wallow in your victimhood. How can you possibly ever expect to succeed at anything if you want to go through life as a victim? Quit being a victim and just be a person who has experienced life. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger if you let it.

We are, each of us, the combined sum total of all our individual life experiences. Therefore, we are never the same person - ever. We are in a constant state of evolution. As our experiences alter and mold us into that which we then subsequently become, we immediately continue to morph through our new and constantly occurring experiences into something else.

Are we ever really anything at all?

BS We is what we is and thats all we're ever gonna be.

Substitute the word victim for 'a product of' if it makes you feel better although it means the same. What's happened before makes you who you are today.

It don't really care if you agree with me or not. You can think what I'm saying is bullshit along with the rest of the people who do. It's ok even. I know you can't possibly do anything else because of where you've been and what's happened to you.

ooh...and nature vs. nurture comes out.

I'm not going to get into a "who's more buddhist" fray. Which is why I'm not buddhist anymore.
(publicly)

Good day.

Troll.

You're calling me a troll because I'm having a discussion? Very interesting. I guess that makes you one too.
