I'm descended from English Quakers, though they lived in Tiperary County before they came to the colonies.

Another thing I've noticed - and others have certainly mentioned over the years - we are an almost exclusively white forum. Only three exceptions I know of among regular posters and a few more mixed heritage and most of those not in the previous generation.

Why is that? Do we exclusively talk about stuff white people like (breakfast, wine, living by water).

It's odd. A group of white people round the world found the same site, yet no black, Asian or hispanic people did.

Everyone here is black... text, with an off-white (#F1F1ED) background.

How things change:

Me: "I wish we could find a black lead singer."
My guitarist: "Yeah I know... we'd have it made, black guys are utterly cool right now."

I did say I knew there were exceptions and Fresh was one I had in mind (I've just watched him dancing after all!).

I'm not trying to make an issue out of it, I'm just honestly puzzled that Americans, Brits, Aussies, Nederlanders, etc etc have all come together and yet very few of the ethnically diverse elements of these nations seem to have joined us.

I think it's pretty obvious. We aren't very cool. Look at us: 90% NERDS.

(not me. I'm cool.)

prove it! we wanna see pics!

I'm all for diversity. Whenever I see a black person here in El Paso, I wanna just run over to them and give them a hug!

'Course, they're almost all soldiers, so that's probably not a good idea.

Ahem.

Only 1/16...legal enough but not like I know the way of the people or anything.
