I think it's all part and parcel.

Probably in an action pose. With a tree on its roof or something.

I remember a house guest swearing our last house was haunted - he was totally convinced of it because the house was more than 10 minutes old and he 'felt something'. Nutjob.

Casa del Lumberjinx looks like it could be haunted, I must admit, and all those "In case of spousal insanity break glass" boxes are a tip off too.

No not this house, our last one, about 100 years younger than this one.
I could totally see this one being haunted. It's old (almost 200), it was a doctor's home/office so people might have died here, I let people sprinkle a dead guy's ashes in the yard because he lived here as a kid, and most creepy; we found a bone under the floor in the attic of the human variety. But it's not.

Mine is, but the old lady doesn't eat anything, and she doesn't bother me, so I don't make her pay rent.

I'm sure we once had a What's In Your Fridge thing going, but I can't find it.
Oh, maybe that was when MTV Cribs came round. Anyway, here is mine in the hope other people will reciprocate. It's not quite as personal as a house tour, but we'll get to hear your voice and see your food after all. Oh and you can always fridge'clean beforehand. I didn't, but I blame everything on the 'rents anyway. Oops, just realised I identified Boursin as soft cream. It's not, it's cream cheese (with garlic and herbs). Probably why I tried to say garlic for the gherkin relish. Also, I missed the salad drawer underneath. And we don't keep fruit in the fridge (apart from berries). So we're not as unhealthy as we look! |

Hey cool, I just got a letter from the historic commission saying we're getting a plaque for the front of the house.
"You are the owner of one of the 24 most historic buildings in our town, built between 1740 and 1860." So we get a plaque. For free even. Cool.

Cool beans, Jinx! Make sure to get a good photo of the plaque to post.
In other news, my wife and I are closing on our first "together" home. It's quite small and we rent the lot it sits on, but it'll be ours, no mortgage. The plan is to spend no more than five years in it before upgrading to a much bigger model on our own land. On the bad side, there's no cable service so we're dependent on the Dish for TV and possibly internet if the local DSL isn't good enough. On the bright side, it's quite shady and the neighbors are said to be friendly. I'll post pics after we get the pink slip and keys (and do some sprucing up).
